I “set the table” the night before, spending several hours after the market closes, sifting through data and evaluating potential trades for the open.

So when morning comes, I’m ready to hit the ground running.  I start by looking at the overseas markets.  Next, I check the futures to get a feel for the mood of the market.

Then the real work begins.

Chart by chart, I go through my setups from the night before.  Are my assumptions still valid?  What are the right entry points for each trade?  What’s the potential profit for each and when will it peak?

There’s a ton of work to do before I’m ready to turn my conclusions over to you.

We start trading at the opening bell and have just one hour to rake in our profits, so it’s critically important to get the setup right.

Tens-of-thousands of people have tried their hands at day-trading.  Maybe one percent – and I’m being very generous – have figured out how to make a living from it.

Most wannabes have found out – from painful experience – that you can’t just waltz in half-prepared and beat the big boys at this game.  Do that, and I guarantee you’ll slink away, tail between your legs, vowing “never again."

So let me do the heavy lifting.  Then it’s your turn to do your part.

I’ll take you through our setups – roughly 3-5 each morning.  It’s going to be rapid-fire, because I have a lot of ground to cover and because, frankly, that’s how I roll.

I’ll detail the chart patterns… outline the trades… and explain how I arrived at these trades.

You’ll have a chance to ask questions, but please make them succinct.  The clock is still ticking, and the opening bell waits for no one.

9:30 a.m. and the market is open — let’s make money

I guarantee the next 60 minutes will fly by.

You’ll have a couple of screens open on your computer.  One will have me talking and typing to you as you type back confirming your trades.  The other will be your brokerage account in action.

And the key word here is “action.”

When you’re round-tripping 3-5 stock and options trades in one hour – with several trades open simultaneously – it pretty much is one mad dash.

Frankly, you don’t want to do this all day long.  Few of us are cut out for long-distance endurance racing.  Day-trading, done right, is more like a sprint.

My years of experience show that the largest number, and best opportunities, to profit come during the first hour of trading.  That’s when the big guns make their big moves – creating tradable swings, which we translate into fast profits at Power Trading.
